Rules
The premise of the league is very simple. You can only use a player ONCE for the entire season and must fill out a roster each week using unique players. Example: Week 1 you select Aaron Rodgers as your Quarterback. You can no longer use Aaron Rodgers for the remaining 17 weeks of the season.
You will fill out your roster to comport with the following positions:
QB RB RB WR WR WR TE K D
Process:
Navigate to the “My Roster” tab and use it to fill out your roster. You MUST use the autocomplete/drop-down menu of players. This is as simple as typing “Derri-” into the running back slot and clicking on Derrick Henry if you wish to choose him. This is important to ensure that players are appropriately accounted for to comply with the repeated player element. Failure to use the autocomplete will result in a 0 for that position for that week. If a player you want to select is not in the drop-down menu, please contact me and we will address it.
If you attempt to use a previously used player, a message will pop up at the bottom informing you that you have “Duplicated Players”. At this point, you can correct your current roster. Once a given week has passed, it will be locked and uneditable. Once a given game has begun, the players for their respective teams will lock at kickoff. Example: Thursday Night Football, 8:15 EST Chiefs vs Ravens. Once the clock hits 8:15, all Chiefs and Ravens are unusable for that given week.
Once you have managed your roster for a given week, the hard part is done! The roster will auto-populate into the “This Week” tab and will be published at 1 PM EST.
Each time that you do not submit a roster you will be fined $15 (payable via Venmo). If there are continuing penalties there will be escalating fines/ discussion of removal from the league. This penalty will even be enforced if this were a “strategic” no-show lineup. The bottom line is that there is an expectation to submit a competitive and complete roster each week.
Point Scoring:
This a very standard Point Per Reception (PPR) league. Nothing should come as a surprise when you look at end-of-game boxscores and subsequent fantasy scores. Four points are earned for passing touchdowns while six points are awarded for receiving touchdowns.
Playoffs:
The top 14 teams will make the playoffs, while the remaining will miss the playoffs. Each division winner automatically earns a spot. The remaining wildcard spots will be given to those teams in this tie-breaking order: 1) overall record 2) points scored and 3) head to head. The final wildcard spot (14th seed) will be given to the overall top point scorer who has not already made the cut. The top two seeded teams will receive a one-week bye.
The league will run for the full 18-week regular season of the NFL. Our regular season will consist of weeks 1-14. The playoffs will begin on week 15 and continue until the Championship game on week 18.
Payouts
The buyout will be $30 a team. Division winners will get their money back. The remaining pot will be split accordingly:
Overall top scorer: $125
3rd place: $75
2nd place: $200
1st place: $500
